INTERMEDIATE STUDENTS

Our intermediate students learn at their own pace as directed by their Individual Education Plan written by the families and the Special Education teacher at the Distance Learning Provider.

The mornings are generally set for academic and social learning in a group setting with time set aside for one to one support. The afternoons focus on community outings and life skill development. Programming is offered Mon-Fri 9:00-2:00. We follow the School District 68 (Nanaimo-Ladysmith) calendar.

ADVANCED STUDENTS

Our advanced students are working academically at grade level in an adapted presentation set by their teacher. The focus is school work in the morning, and joining in on community outings and social learning in the afternoons complete with art and music experiences.

WEEKLY OUTINGS

The Learning Centre takes part in weekly swimming, weekly trips to the gym and regular field trips around our community and Vancouver Island.

Our staff are trained in behaviour intervention to ensure all activities are in a safe and accepting environment.

Our staff are certified Class 4 drivers who ensure the safe transportation of our children to all destinations.
